We've stayed at the Baymont in Mackinaw many times and found the quality as high as ever on this most recent stay. Check-in was efficient and pleasant at a late hour,; room was quiet and very clean; fluffy towels and clean linen; breakfast was ample. Didn't know about the shuttle to the ferry--may take advantage of it next time, as we were on our way to 2-days at Mackinac Island.

"Good Choice in Mackinaw" - Cincinnati, OH Sept. 21, 2008
We stayed one night at Baymont and it was pleasant. There was a little of a cleaning smell in the lobby and in our room. We couldn't quite put our finger on what it was. It wasn't unpleasant but noticeable. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. Staff was friendly and check in and check out was efficient. Breakfast was a nice continental arrangement with fresh waffles. Noise level was good considering how many people were at the hotel. We'd definitely stay again. It was a good value for our needs.

"Great short stay in Mackinaw!" - Michigan Sept. 15, 2008
My husband and I stayed with my parents at Baymont Inn in Mackinaw for a couple of days. It was genuinely a nice place to stay, as far as hotels go. The room was clean and spacious, the bathroom small, large vanity, and view of the city. Breakfast in the morning was a great start to the day with waffles, toast, muffins, bagels, fruits, cereals, juice, coffee, and milk. The hot tub was a nice treat after a long day of touring and a good dinner from Nonna Lisa's down the street. Good hotel for the price. It's conveniently located right off the Interstate and within walking distance to shops and the boats to go to the Island. We'd stay here again.

"Clean and Pleasant" MEGMichigan Sept. 5, 2008
No complaints about this property. It's nothing special, but it was clean and comfortable and offers a simple continental breakfast. The location is convenient to shopping and restaurants, but is not on the water. Towels were very scratchy, and there were no on-demand movies in the room. Our room ($90 for 2 queen beds) had the vanity outside of the bathroom which is a convenient feature.
"Good, Solid Hotel" - Cleveland, OH - Sept. 2, 2008
The hotel room was basic but nice, and the staff was efficient. In fact, upon checking in, we found our TV reception to be "snowy." We called the front desk and they came up with a brand new TV set. The hotel was maintained very well, meaning the carpet seemed fairly new (no stains, holes or wear marks) and the appearance of the walls was good.
My kids ventured to the pool almost immediately and had a great time in the pool and hot tub. The small workout room (treadmill, cycle and stepper) overlooked the pool area through a window which made it nice to be able to keep an eye on the kids while I exercised.
The complimentary breakfast buffet had all of the basics. Most people took advantage of this each morning.
The hotel location is near everything. Main Street is only one block away - in fact you can cut across the parking lot to get there. You can also walk to Shepler's Ferry, or if you'd prefer to ride without having to drive, you can take the shuttle that stops right in front of the hotel about every 15-20 minutes.
Overall, the hotel had everything we needed for the week. We spent much of the time sightseeing around the area, so we weren't in our room too much, but our stay was enjoyable for the time we were there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

"Enjoyed our stay 2 weekends in a row" - Detroit, MI - Sept. 2, 2008
A family of six plus Grandma going to Mackinac Island. We search the hotels in the area and found this one. A great fair price compaired to the others just 1/2 mile down the road. We arrived and the staff greeted us warmly. Our rooms were ready on time and they were adjacent to each other. The break fast was perfect for our family and saved us lots of money. The pool was a nice ammenity after going to the island. We returned the following weekend on our way back from Up North and stayed another night. If you are going to Mackinaw City or the Island DEFINITELY look into this hotel as you will not be disappointed at the warm staff and CLEAN ROOMS!
